The San Francisco 49ers are the best team in the National Football League. I’d say argue with a wall, but you can argue with me, I have a little more personality than your average wall.

The sheep are finally waking up. The “Shanahan merchant” trope has lost its shimmer to the doubters. The people screaming into the void about his supporting cast have watched his teammates drop like flies year-round. It has become increasingly obvious to me that at this point that anyone who does not see that Brock Purdy is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL either A. - Only says it to ragebait their friends (cough cough) or B. - Is a fucking moron with an IQ below 70, which would classify them as having potential intellectual disability.

Talent is there for all that have eyes to see. This season specifically, Purdy has taken his game to a new height. Through three weeks, big cock Brock has a league-leading nine passing touchdowns, he’s in the top 10 in passing yards, he’s turned the ball over just once, and he’s boasting a league-best QBR of 93.7.

If you still have reservations about Brock's arm talent, this should help bring you into the light

Numbers most people, and admittedly myself unless it benefits my views like it does here, couldn’t give a shit about. But the Niners are 3-0\. The last time they were undefeated through three weeks they played in the Super Bowl and lost to sacrificial devil magic.

For those uninformed, the metric EPA/Play means expected points added per play. Essentially, the higher a player is into the positives, the more they are over-performing in the given circumstance. It’s a tricky “advanced stat” to track and trust because different statistician sites use different models, but they all agree on one thing. Brock Purdy is far and away the most efficient and successful QB on average.

Brock is legitimately playing lights out right now, and this Sunday’s game against Denver will probably prove to be his biggest litmus test of the young season. Rams head coach Sean Mcvay fucked his whole team by trying to outsmart time zones. The Dolphins are ass, no further explanation needed for now. The Cardinals looked great week one, but the Chargers may be a bottom three team in the league. Not the most challenging path to a 3-0 record.

The Broncos are supposed to have a great defense, which we’ve seen flashes of this year. The key, to me, for SF is to take full advantage of Bo Nix and the dwindling brain cells he uses in the first half of games. Nix has been BAD for much of the 180 minutes of football Denver has played this year. The Niners biggest struggle so far defensively has been defending the inside run. If they can do that well enough against Denver I believe Nix will give them multiple chances to generate turnovers.

It’s basically Fred Warner and friends vs the world. He’s the best linebacker in the world, and having Greenlaw back flanking him makes him all that much better. Deommodore Lenoir and Renardo Green have been fine on the outside so far this season. The shining bright spot in the secondary has been second-year duo Upton Stout and Marques Sigle. These dudes can bang, and have been steadily improving in coverage ability.

I’m looking at Christian McCaffrey in this game to potentially pick up some slack as Mike Evans is a game time decision. I doubt they’ll push Evans to play if he’s not quite there yet. He has already proven to be a great investment this year, averaging 11 yards per reception and hauling in two touchdowns through three weeks.

Happy Brocktober to all those who celebrate. I’ll be raising a glass (can) \[10-12 of them\] to Brock and the 49ers today. Cheers!

Game prediction (oh God): 49ers: 28, Broncos: 17
